Weekends, Unlike Gobstoppers

Have you ever heard the proverb, "You can't go home again?"

At least I think it's a proverb. It might actually be the name of a book or a song or a dateline special about Somalian refugees. Whatevs, that's not the point.

The point is that, proverb or not, it's total bullshit. It turns out that you can go home again. And when you get there, it will be every bit as awesome as before! Perhaps even more so because now you have learned to fully appreciate the existence of your family, the comfortable company of old friends, and the ready availability of food that isn't Ramen.

But weekends, unlike Gobstoppers, don't last forever. So now, after a long odyssey of a drive involving engine failure and a tow truck, I am back in the (relative) comfort of my dorm. Tomorrow classes resume and I will suffer the slings and arrows of misfortune.
